Gaz Fitzmaurice
Bushfire Consultant
Gearoid (Gaz) Fitzmaurice is a BPAD Level 1 accredited bushfire practitioner and has been a consultant with Bushfire Prone Planning for over 2 years. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Hons) and has 7 years of experience as an environmental consultant. He has worked on a variety of projects ranging from flora and fauna surveys to water quality monitoring programs.
He has extensive experience working across multiple regions of Western Australia – working as far north as Honeymoon Bay and as far south as Esperance. In July 2024 he attended a 5-day training in Brisbane, gaining practical knowledge of fire behaviour for prescribed burning.
