Kathy Nastov

Kathy is a co-founder of Bushfire Prone Planning and has an environmental management and fire services background, holding Bachelor of Science Degrees in Environmental Management and Wildlife Management and a Graduate Diploma in Bushfire Protection.
Kathy has over 16 years experience in bushfire risk management and has worked on numerous land management projects with an emphasis on balancing environmental values and bushfire risk management outcomes. She has worked across numerous planning projects over a variety of land tenures for both private and government organisations including working closely with a number of Local Governments managing tenure blind bushfire risk programs.
Having operational experience in both bushfire suppression and planned burning, Kathy has the ability to apply practical and effective fire management strategies across diverse environments and projects.
Qualifications
Kathy is a BPAD Level 3 Accredited Bushfire Practitioner.
