Montario Quarter(Shenton Park Hospital Redevelopment)
Bushfire Prone Planning have been working on the old Shenton Park Hospital redevelopment, known as Montario Quarter since being engaged by Landcorp in 2017 and subsequently Development WA. The project initially involved the review and addendum of a Bushfire Management Plan by our BPAD Level 3 Practitioners to enable the balance of environmental values and future development of the site.
Project Details
Creation of a site specific low fuel zone to minimise vegetation clearing, enhance aesthetic values of the precint and allow for further development with consideration for managing bushfire threat to exisiting and future site values
Preparation of a detailed and concise plan for management of the remnant vegetation to retain and enhance environmental values
Engagement and management of contractors onsite to undertake vegetation management works
Ongoing annual review and auditing of the site to ensure vegetation is appropriately managed
Ongoing site assessments and development of BAL Contour Maps, Bushfire Managemnt Plans and BAL Assessments to support ongoing development of the precinct
