Pratima Khadka

Bushfire Consultant

Pratima has a background in environmental science and biotechnology. She moved to Australia to pursue her Master’s degree in Environmental Science at Edith Cowan University where she acquired skills in GIS, project management, environmental impact assessment and occupational health and safety management. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology with major in plant ecology and environmental biotechnology and has previously worked as a Water Quality Analyst.

Pratima has worked in research projects dealing with studies on plant survivorship in native seed production and understanding the bioremediation potential of bacteria found in municipal wastewater. Pratima has also done volunteering works in local environmental conservation groups and in her university.

Pratima joined Bushfire Prone Planning in 2024 where she aims to integrate bushfire risk management with integrated environmental management and impact assessment and achieve the best possible planning solutions.
