Bushfire Training and Education

We deliver targeted bushfire training and education programs designed to build capability, improve decision making, and support safer outcomes across bushfire prone landscapes.

Drawing on the expertise of our experienced practitioners including BPAD Level 3 Accredited Practitioners, we offer tailored sessions for land managers, facility operators and managers, local governments, and other industry professionals.

Our programs cover a range of topics, including:

Bushfire awareness and emergency response – Comprehensive training focused on understanding bushfire behaviour, recognising site specific risk factors, and implementing effective emergency response procedures. Designed to improve on the ground decision making, increase personal and team safety, and support coordinated responses before, during, and after a bushfire event. Ideal for those responsible for site preparedness, emergency planning, and field operations in bushfire risk environments.

Fuel hazard identification and assessment – Training focused on developing the skills and knowledge needed to accurately identify, assess, and interpret fuel hazards in bushfire prone environments. Participants gain an understanding of how to undertake or confidently review Overall Fuel Hazard Assessments (OFHAs), including how fuel characteristics influence bushfire behaviour. The training supports informed decision making for land management, bushfire risk reduction strategies, prescribed burn planning, and integration with broader bushfire mitigation frameworks.

We have accredited trainers who can deliver Nationally Accredited Training on behalf of Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s). We partner with RTO’s where our highly qualified and experienced staff deliver nationally accredited training products which is supported by our currency working within the industry. We are capable of both training and developing nationally accredited training material.

Our programs are delivered by nationally recognised bushfire practitioners with decades of on-the-ground experience in bushfire science, incident response and land use planning. With a strong focus on practical application, our training combines technical knowledge, operational insight, and current best practice. Sessions can be delivered in the field or classroom and are tailored to the roles and responsibilities of participants.
