Bushfire Prone Planning nominated for Telstra Business Awards
Bushfire Prone Planning has been nominated for the prestigious Telstra Business Awards in the New Business Category.
Now in their 24th year, the Telstra Business Awards are renowned for showcasing and celebrating the achievements and entrepreneurial spirit of Australia’s most brilliant small and medium-sized businesses. Providing bushfire risk management services across WA, Bushfire Prone Planning has been recognised for their dedication to helping keep communities safe from the adverse effects of bushfire.
Established in 2012 by directors Kathy Nastov and Mike Scott, they identified a considerable gap in the industry and, armed with experience from both government and fire and emergency services, they remain only one of a handful of practitioners in WA with formal qualifications in Bushfire Protection.
With over 90 per cent of Western Australia classed as bushfire prone, new projects such as buildings, developments and subdivisions in these areas require some form of bushfire assessment and associated level of compliance.
“Thanks to our strong focus on holistic, adaptive, technical and innovative approaches to bushfire risk management, we continue to develop a company built on excellence in order to keep vulnerable communities safe from the effects of bushfires,” comments Director Mike Scott.
The Award dinner will be held at Crown on Friday, July 8th. The winner of the State award will then be flown to Sydney for the national judging on Thursday 25th August, culminating in a glittering celebration dinner on the night of Friday 26th August.
